Welcome!

I am an economist doing research in political economy and development, with a focus on informal institutions, education, and culture.

I am on the 2025-2026 job market.

In my JMP, I study how inter-ethnic integration shapes social learning among high schoolers in Macedonia. In a different paper in the same segregated high schools, I study how language skills matter during inter-ethnic contact. This work is supported by J-PAL, The Pearson Institute, and the Becker Friedman Institute. See my research here.

I am currently at Harvard University as a Weatherhead Scholar. I earned my PhD from the University of Chicago in 2025, and my BA from Brown University in 2017.

My references are James Robinson, Steven Durlauf, Oeindrila Dube, and Leonardo Bursztyn.

My blog has random thoughts on what I’m reading, watching, and listening to… and the occasional recipe.
